The following programs are a combination of services provided by Butler County Recycling, local businesses and non-profits. County programs are available at no charge to Butler County residents. Businesses and contractors with commercial quantities of materials are advised to contact Butler County Recycling for additional recycling opportunities. COMPUTER & TELEVISION RECYCLING
September Computer & TV Recycling Program.
Butler County residents can drop-off computers and televisions during the month of September, at no charge on the designated service days listed below.
Beginning Thursday, September 5, 2019

Accepted Items: televisions, computers, computer towers & computer peripherals, stereos, fax machines, desk top printers, laptops, cable/satellite boxes, DVR/DVD/Video players, microwaves.
Materials must be derived from households, no businesses are permitted. Items dropped off on days other than the designated service days/hours will be assessed a fee for service.
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE Drop Off

Residents can drop off their oil-based paint, antifreeze, gasoline/motor oil, automotive fluids, pesticides/fertilizers, solvents/thinners, cleaners, household/auto batteries, fire extinguishers, propane tanks, mercury thermometers, fluorescent bulbs (all sizes), driveway sealer, thermostats and lawn/pool chemicals.

CURBSIDE FREON APPLIANCE COLLECTION

The Solid Waste District offers a free curbside pick up program to all Butler County residents (no businesses) for Freon containing appliances. Recycle your refrigerator, freezer, dehumidifier and air conditioner. Freon is removed by certified technicians at no cost to you. Appliances are recycled. Limit of 2 like appliances per pick up.
If you experience any difficulty with scheduling or pick up of your Freon appliance, please call our office at 513-887-3653.
Non-Freon appliances (washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, stoves, water heaters, etc.) can be taken to a scrap metal dealer, such as Cohen for recycling.
Recycle lithium ion batteries and alkaline C, D, A, AAA, 9-volt and rechargeable batteries at the locations below.
